This situation is NOT fluid!

The hay is in the barn, the fat lady has sung and Lane Kiffin will be the next coach of the LSU Tigers. Florida has moved on and like I said previously several big shot OM boosters are pissed and even if Lane changed his mind right now returning wouldn’t be an option. Dude is torn up over how this is playing out and doesn’t want to be the bad guy again in the media but it is pretty much unavoidable. FWIW, there are already talks among influential people in the NCAA as far as the athletic calendar is laid out so as to avoid this situation in the future. Also, Sumrall is going to be at Auburn or Ole Miss next year and the higher ups at Ole Miss want him as soon as this weekend. Tulane will potentially be in their conference championship playing to make the playoff with an interim coach.

Care to qualify your source, or is this just a “trust me bro” post?

Calendar is the problem not the coaches

Sometimes you luck out and know important people.

A kissing cousin of warnings not to "overthink it."

I feel like many people have received texts confirming this is gonna happen. I believe we are gonna have to wait till after the egg bowl to get it confirmed by him or his people or LSU representatives. I’m actually amazed it hasn’t fully leaked to the media. I see no way he can stay where he is regardless they won’t take him back after this. We have all seen the so called insiders here. All of their stories somewhat align in one way or another.

So no.
I know important people as well. None of which would know frick all about the LSU coaching search.
We’ll lump you into the “trust me bro” crowd.

What reports?

So it has to be some big conspiracy and meet up in a dark alley to get the latest scoop? Or maybe a really good friend has a relationship with one of the involved parties and threw me a bone.

I completely understand you not naming people. I wish you would but understand why you can’t it would be crazy to do so. Guy earlier got his thread whacked after posting a screenshot of a text conversation with an ole miss players dad.

Absolutely not, Shaggy. Not what was implied at all.

See, this is a sort of qualifying statement. Nobody wants names.
To take it even further, what sort of involved party? AD Department, BOS, Football Ops, Governor’s office, etc. Just something that helps folks know how much weight they can put into it.

Impossible. Even if you go back to the bowl system LK would still be looking to leave and would be gone before their bowl game.
The calendar isn’t the problem.

Bingo, there is no way that Lane is not the head coach of LSU next year. None.

How do you know he hasn’t? There is a reason certain posts get whacked, and others don’t.
