Passed HOFer Dwight Freeney yesterday. HOFer Derrick Thomas is next at 126.5.

Currently 19th all time. Outside shot at cracking top 15 before years end. Would need 133 and pass Rickey Jackson and Lawrence Taylor in the process, both HOFers.

Cam is also top 10 all time in TFLs, which is a nice nugget.

No shot at 7 more sacks and cracking top 15 this year.

MAYBE another year he'd get it, but the fact he's still productive says a lot about how talented he is.

Cam Jordan has played in 16 or more games in every single one of his 14 seasons, and has played in every game so far this season.

For that alone he should be in the HOF. Guy is a true iron man.

I think he has missed 2 regular season games in his entire career.

It was nice to see him get the sack against a Falcons QB in the dome.

Its definitely attainable. We have 6 games left against some of the worst offensive lines in the nfl currently.

When you add in tackles and run support numbers the comparison becomes laughable and Cam not getting in would prove that the whole thing is a popularity contest

He should make the hall of fame simply off his consistency.

And one of them was because he tested positive for Covid if memory serves.

It’s not going to be easy.

Two guys who we saw a lot of who aren’t in that need to be

John Abraham has 133.5 sacks (19th all time) in 45 less games than Cam. 5x Pro Bowl, 2x All Pro

Simeon Rice has 122 (31st all time) to Cam’s 126 but has played 63 less games. DROY, 3x Pro Bowl, 1x All Pro, SB Title

Some voters will applaud Cam for the games played. Others are going to want more production. I think Cam knows he has to get to a certain number of sacks to put the doubt to rest

Abraham is puzzling. I did some digging into him not long ago and, based on the numbers, he literally only got sacks. He did nothing else.

But the sacks should be an overwhelming number to get him in.

Abe produced more than Freeney despite playing in 26 less contests. Freeney was a fringe guy for me; had a great peak but played long enough to compile some numbers. His induction bodes well for Cam

Freeney
Games 218
Sacks 125.5
TFL 128
Forced Fumbles 47

Abraham
Games 192
Sacks 133.5
TFL 148
Forced Fumbles 48

One thing these guys did that Cam doesn’t do is force fumbles. Cam has 16 in 237 games. Freeney led the league with 9 in a season and Abe led once with 6 (had 6 3x)

good point on the forced fumbles.

Julius Peppers had 51 in his career.

159.5 sacks

Cam Jordan is probably the best run defender / high sack guy of the modern age.

100%... not sure if he's a unanimous 1st ballot guy, but he should make it in on his 1st ballot... 2nd for sure
