First year as a DC and the Lions may have one of the softest defenses in the league. Jamies is ripping them a new one at the moment.

Would have to surround him with an established offensive staff and hope they wouldn’t leave for 2-3 years. It would never have worked in real life.

I’ve seen them not be able to stop JJ McCarthy and Jameis Winston. I’m out

Because he's an LSU alum

That said, he's got a bright future

As a former player he would recruit his arse off.

His defenses are legit, defense wins championships.

Young and hungry, next Gen.

Those are the big positives.

Only 2 reasons I’d want him

1) we have him or drink… I’ll take kelvin a million times over drink

2) if it’s not Lane and as a few users on here have said it’s Lane or Saban
and that’s the list…

Saban would only be like a 2-3 year deal.. but it would immediately get our culture back overnight.. Saban would know it’s short term and Kelvin knows he’s in waiting
get Kelvin to learn from the goat himself and then he can hand it over to Kelvin and just mentor him in the final year before turning the keys over to him.. he’s a great coach but just inexperienced but what he’s learned under Dan Campbell and what he’s learn under Saban we would have it made

While true, his influence was over a small sample size. May be great; may not be.

I think most people’s concern was over how premature the push for him was.

People wanting Sheppard (if there were any) are almost as dumb as people starting threads about coaches sucking based on 1 game

If I were a coach, especially one already in the NFL, I would avoid college.

Recruiting my arse off, sounds terrible

Would be a retarded hire and basically just a panic hire if we get turned down. He’s nowhere near ready to be a head coach at a place like LSU

Great defense coordinator but you can’t hire him. No head coaching experience. It’s amazing people really think u can hire someone no head coaching experience.

Crab legs is throwing all over them today but you clearly don’t know shite about his defense this year.
