Last night was a sausage fest but they were rowdy, shirts off, and it looked positive on TV. When you consider the product on the field, they really had no reason to stay and watch us struggle against WKU. Late 4th quarter and the commentary team was still praising the effort. So props to them.

No complaints here. It was amusing to watch in the stands. At one point, you could see a line of people trying to get over there to join them. The blob of people grew significantly.

I caught myself watching them over most of the game towards the end of the third.. That’s how rough that game was last night

I’m amazed and happy they’re still there were still there, shirt or no shirt. That game was rough to watch.

Which makes the students participation even more impressive.

I was at the game.

They showed up better than the non students, were more energetic, stayed longer, and cheered louder.

The south enzone is always better than the east and west as well.

Also kudos to the band. They played more and the piped in music was toned down. Was fun to watch.

I brought my 8 y.o. son. This was his 3rd game in Tiger Stadium. Our tickets were in section 301, and at the start of the 4th, we noticed the large group of college boys swinging their shirts. Then we noticed younger boys my sons age starting to gravitate towards there, so my 40-year old self and my son joined them for the remainder of the game.

I think that is going to be a core memory for him and myself.

Nah, he stood next to them and promptly took his shirt off and started swinging it above his head.

I was a student there from 2003-2007, and those were some great memories in that student section for 5 years. Can’t wait for him to be a part of that.

Credit to the ones that stayed, but I sit in chair backs in 300 section and there was a steady stream of “boys” coming from the sidelines hopping the wall to get to the student section. I was there for the entire game, it was much more empty after halftime than it appeared once the sausage fest started

I was damn lucky. National champs my freshman year and I stayed an extra semester to see the ‘07 team win one. Couldn’t ask for a better 5-season stretch as a student.
