Penn State is going to regret firing James Franklin at this point in the season. It turned out to be a good move for Franklin, though, as he’s landed in a great spot with Virginia Tech. He’s already managed to flip some PSU recruits to the Hokies and is off to a strong start in recruiting. That said, I think Terry Smith is a great guy and definitely has a deep connection to Penn State.

I agree, and I also think they wouldn’t have fired him - but the whole stadium was booing and chanting fire Franklin. Careful what you wish for.
