Literally none of those guys had remotely the same amount of info flooding out about their status as potential LSU head coach
Herman was "candidate" for 5 minutes based purely on media before he was set with Texas.
I never saw a single report that Riley was that involved with LSU. Whats more likely is that Trace Armstrong, being the agent for Riley and Kelly, was talking to LSU for Kelly and not Riley.
Jimbo? Maybe Woodward asked but it was never serious minus a few that said it was happening.
Eta: Kelly's and Rileys agent is Trace Armstrong, not Sexton. Still same agent.
