Since 1965

I've seen a lot before football at LSU since my first game in 1965. Charlie McClendon had some bad teams in 1974-75. Jerry Stovall had a bad team in 1984. The 1989 Mike Archer team was terrible. The four Curley Hallman years were forgettable. The end of the Gerry DiNardo regime was disappointing. Coach Orgeron's last two teams were embarrassing. But this 2025 team is just abysmal. It's so bad I wish they would refuse a bowl game. I know the SEC won't allow it, but the bottom will fall out in Norman, Okla., next week.

Hurricane Camille, I agree with you 100%. And it seems like you and I have been going to the games about the same time. I think my first game was when LSU beat Tulane 62 to zero. That might have been 64 or 65 so we must be about the same and you pointed out just exactly as I did. This is the worst team I have ever witnessed in my life. I mean Brian Kelly. You talking about has changed the culture of LSU football. I hope somebody can come in like a Mike Elko. He turned a&m around fast. Hopefully this can be turned around fast because this is flat. I agree with you 100% abysmal

Agreed, but many still don’t understand that this isn’t the same game we grew up watching and loving years ago.
No excuse for how bad this offense is though.

This team is no fun. Just not interesting.

Sounds like your expectations and standards probably changed since 65 .., I remember being happy with LSU going to the Independence Bowl in high school…

Jerry Stovall wasn’t the coach in ‘84, but his ‘83 and final team was winless in the SEC.

frick off. We need those practices idiot. The new staff will need them to evaluate the players that want to stay.
The Hallman years and 99 were absolutely worse than this season. You are a prisoner of the moment if you can see that.
The roster we put on the field for the Texas Bowl in 2021 was FAR worse than what we will have for whatever bowl we go to this year.

If you think this team is worse that Curley teams you are brain damaged.

1999 Houston game in Tiger stadium was one like this. DiNardo was fired about 36 hours later. We hired Saban

We disagree. Big deal.

In the last two weeks, LSU has gotten a new president, a new athletic director, an interim coach, a new quarterback, terrible national publicity, and just secured a three point win, at home, against the 107th ranked defense in the nation. So, no, you frick off.

But it's good enough to remember McClendon's Veer Years. Those were just awful; Cholly Mac never really recovered from that.

Can't score more than 25 points in a game? I have brain damage? No, dude. Just no.

I remember that horrible veer and the late Carl Otis Tremble.
