LSU would be Kiffin's sixth head coaching job. Five college head coaching jobs, one pro.

Professional: Raiders
College: USC, Tennessee, FAU, Ole Miss, LSU (?)
Obviously, Saban had tremendous, sustained success at his fifth head coaching job (Alabama, after Dolphins, LSU, Michigan State, and Toledo). He demonstrates that it's possible for a coach to establish stable, prolonged success at one program even after a fairly restless career.
Urban Meyer won championships at both his third and fourth college head coaching stops (Florida, OSU).
Alabama was Bear Bryant's fourth head coaching job, I believe.
Any others in the college ranks who built dynasties or won NC's after nomadic head coaching careers?
Has anyone ever won an NC at their fifth college head coaching job (sixth overall)? I haven't been able to identify anyone, though Saban comes close, as mentioned.
Just an interesting historical exercise to pass the time this week.

What does any historical data about other schools have to do with Kiffin’s success at LSU?
Nothing

Pete Carroll won a Super Bowl with his 3rd NFL team and had already won a NC in college.

Well if he does what we’re hoping he does, LSU will be his last coaching job, because he’ll be able to stay here until he retires.
