Kiffin is 50

I like the parallel of age and coaching experience starting his era at LSU

“What has he done?” Some ask about Kiffin’s offer/ compensation relative to “what has he done to deserve that much?”

We all said that about Saban until he won a championship

Saban became the first HC to clip 1 million per year with his early success at LSU

I believe he’s the first and perhaps the only coach that has had in his contract that he would be the highest paid coach in college football by at least one dollar

I would argue that Kiffin’s résumé is more impressive than Nick Saban’s at this point in their careers

We’re about to have some fun!

Geaux Tigers!

You’re absolutely right but people here aren’t going to agree with you.

Outstanding use of "relative to" in a post about Saban.

Agree with your post, BTW.

False. Spurrier was making $2 million after the 1996 season.

Kiffin is just more of a mercurial lightning rod in his younger act. Saban was a nose to the grindstone work your way up the ranks defensive savant. The world was so different that guys like him could largely go unnoticed by the public for a decade plus. Even in the 90s Kiffin would’ve stood out on TV kinda like sourrier.

In terms of college experience… Kiffin has a far more impressive resume than Saban did when he came to LSU.

Saban did however (with Billichick) had the Browns competitive.

Kiffin has just been in the public eye since 2008ish with his raiders stint.

Kiffin is nowhere near Saban's level anywhere in his career.

Did coaches in Saban’s era not get HC gigs at a young age? That is surprising how much more experienced Kiffin is at the same age Saban came here. Definitely can’t argue at the time they came to LSU that Kiffin hasn’t had more success in his career to date at age 50

wtf in back to back comments you have what I said and what you said? TD at its finest… go look at what Saban did prior to coming to lsu and what Kiffin has done. You’re crazy

Jamarcus killing his NFL credibility and him coming coach his school 18 years later is stuff you absolutely can’t make up

nope, that's false. It's well known that LSU was the first college to ever pay a head coach 1 million when we brought Saban in that's what a lot of the fuss was over.
