The Fall Scrimmages are complete for 2025. There will be no Purple/Gold World Series this year. See yall next Spring.

Any reason given for cancelling the PG world series?

Boo Jay Johnson! How dare he cancel the last two scrimmages. Curiel getting hurt must be the reason.

I recall a velo of 98mph from several different pitchers.

Jay indicated several weeks ago they would play it by ear regarding the Purple and Gold World Series

If he was comfortable where they were at they might skip the P/G World Series

The fact that he sat some of the starters last weekend was a pretty good indicator he's see what he needs to see and is pleased with the work this fall.

they can practice to close out the remaining fall schedule

I didn't ask the reason for the abrupt end of scrimmages. The person who answered my call said they had decided to shut it down
I think with so many players not participating, the coaches had already seen what they needed and didn't want to risk injuries.

Paz was a little over 99

Schmitt was hitting 98

I think Rizy was 98 maybe hit 99

I think Sheerin and Fontenot hit 97

Supposedly he broke his ankle in the weight room. Several posts said that he should be back in February. I don’t know if that’s confirmed or not though.

There was speculation that Derek Curiel was injured after he was not seen at last weekends scrimmages. I have not heard anything about his availability.
