Joe Dumars son is also hired into the organization as “Basketball Operations Consultant”

According to team sources, Jordan Dumars is a recent but constant presence, accompanying the team on its plane, attending practices, and being in meetings. Officials from rival teams have also noted his conspicuous presence within the Pelicans’ traveling party on the road. Sources describe Joe Dumars, Troy Weaver, and Jordan Dumars as being “attached at the hip,” forming an insular leadership circle that operates separately from the rest of the basketball operations staff. This isolation, they say, has fostered a culture with no clear, established lines of communication from management downward, leaving many employees in the dark about the team’s direction and decision-making processes.
Nepotism at its finest

What a cuck ... he named his son Jordan, after his fricking arch nemesis

I’m sure he’s as qualified as Joe…

And just like Wille they didn’t announce him…

Do ya'll bitches read the words that these deliberate hit pieces are typing. How about us fans tell these "officials from rival teams" to frick RIGHT OFF.

MJ always says he respected Joe D the most as a defender and they are good friends from back in day

It literally just says they’ve noticed him. The rest of the quote is from team employees who say they have no idea what is going on in the organization or the direction they’re wanting to head

i find it more strange that it feels like a national directive to try to do hit pieces on the pelicans constantly at this time.

Please explain the positive case for Dumars and Gayle.
Let's hear it.

quote:It's not at all strange given the situation and the 2 draft picks currently trending in the top 5 in what is billed a a great draft and an owner going on record and saying really dumb things like she's doing everything she can while having arguably the 2 worst franchises in the NBA & NFL who also have arguably the least hope going forward.

Put all that together, and it's the least strange thing imaginable that she's in the spotlight and feeling the heat.

You actually think Gayle has done everything she can to ensure the success of these 2 franchises?

is this a question or just an emotional outburst?

I'll ask again: You actually think Gayle has done everything she can to ensure the success of these 2 franchises?
quote:You can just say you're avoiding answering my question as it doesn't fit your narrative, that's ok. We both know that's what you're doing, what's the point in pretending otherwise?

if so, care to give full quotes?
let me be clear, you have no gotcha of a question here.

if so, care to give full quotes?
You think that's true?

quote:You should know by now what Chad is doing (here and on the Saints board). He is a long-time troll and is taking the opposing view of disappointed fans in order to rile them up for attention.
Wait wait wait...

i'm not sure if that can be a true statement in the truest of forms being applied to any owner ever.
she hires people and lets them do their jobs.
She just overhauled the pelicans executive structure.
She just fired a Saints coach and is allowing Mickey to rebuild a new Saints team.
I don't think Mickey is a horrible GM/Executive. I mean, Gayle just hired Dumars, you think its a no brainer that she will hire someone better than Mickey for Saints moving forward?
She's allowing Dumars to take reigns and do his job. Dumars has some league credibility in her eyes.
You don't know what she does on a day in and day out basis.
I think no owner is perfect.
No executive is perfect.
I think Gayle does have good intentions. There are a lot of BAD owners out there. I don't think Gayle is one of them. She's good for New Orleans.

also, care to actually link a viewable article?

Hires her longtime friend without even doing a GM search. Then doesn't even allow the GM to fire the coach until they go 2-10 and she meets with him at halftime of the Blazers game and then tells him it's ok to fire him because the coach is a good Christian.
So grateful to have an owner like her.
