What would stop a school with huge donors from having a 100,000,000 dollar NIL fund?

Is this thing unlimited? The top 5 schools with all the donors will get all the best players?

My question as well. Texas could buy every top recruit in the country if they chose to do so.

Auburn just had a massive donation. We put logos on the field because of it.

Teams will find ways to pay players just like before the NIL era.

MIchigan did it with your QB commit.
A&M with that "greatest HS class of all time" a few years ago did it.
Phil Knight wants a title before he dies. They are invested heavily and why Lanning has no interest in leaving.
No one has gone that extreme but yeah people are out spending people to try to win a championship.

Technically, every man on an 85 man roster could be a millionaire.

0 chance this holds up in court when challenged.

The problem with well-known massive NIL funds is you end up overpaying players just because they know you have the money and are desperate.

Most people with money like that have never seen sports.

Phil Knight is worth $30 billion. Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and several Texas schools have multiple billionaire alums. It’s going to get much stupider before common sense sets in. Common fans are just along for the ride and hoping our ego maniacal boosters outspend theirs.

In theory nothing. However, folks with that much money are usually not fools about their priorities. And don’t suffer fools either.

Yep
“Rev Share” is limited to 20.5M for each school. I guess anything on top of that is “NIL” & has to be approved through clearinghouse

Nothing. Boosters have to care enough to put that much money into 18 year olds on their favorite college football team.

That is why we need to see a cap on NIL and coach buyouts. Of Mcneese cam his the cap rhen let them have at it. Otherwise, Texas and Big 10 schools will dominate

congrats! i guess before everyone just had to guess whose field it was

I would try to get 13 years of college eligibility and never get off NIL.
