I cant believe it, What the hell is Nashville about to,go,through a renaissance like the 80s when it was Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam and Marty Stuart that drug country off the ledge of pop.

Dude is selling out arenas a year after releasing his first single. It's meteoric

Are you saying Zach Bryan is bro country? Also he’s not included in these award shows. Not sure you’ve actually listened to his songs.

Didn't mean to lump him technically with the rest but not a fan of his music and he definitely shouldn't be categorized ever with country music, whether he is or not at the moment

Well deserved for Zach, but was REALLY hoping Stephen Wilson Jr. would win.

He had a great night though, perfomed twice and got some exposure that he really deserved..the man is incredible.

Granted, I'm mostly out of the loop with a lot of country, but in my opinion, last night was big for him. People like me have looked him up and see him now. You could probably come in here and tell me that he's way more popular than I realize, and I would believe you as well.

There definitely seems to be a trend back towards 80s/90s "traditional" sound. Zach Top, Brooks and Dunn winning best duo. I don't know much about Ella Langley's music overall, but Choosing Texas, with that two-step beat, could be straight out of Urban Cowboy.

Anyone else a little over Lainey Wilson? Her music is good, but it’s not clean up the award season good.

And they picked the song where the artist talks and tells a story over ones where the artists actually came up with a melody for the verses.

Saw him last night at the Ryman. He’s the real deal. There isn’t a close 2nd right now.

Agreed. It seems like she is the lazy choice for the top awards. It was the same way with Chris Stapleton there for a while (and I am a huge Stapleton fanboy).

I'm glad to see Cody Johnson getting some recognition - this board turned me on to him 10+ years ago. From the little bit I've heard Ella Langley could be a good one moving forward. I've liked some of Riley Green's older stuff (Bury Me in Dixie, Stuck on Georgia Time) but lately he looks like the lost member of Midland.
