Kiffin’s biggest consideration

He has said the money doesn’t matter. Honestly I think all of LSU/OM/UF are close enough there ~$13.5m whatever. He wants NIL $ guaranteed annually in a dollar figure in excess, maybe over twice as much, his base pay.. not sure if that includes rev share but assume it does (~$21m?)
He knows that’s the key to success in CFB now but he’s always known that to be brand/fanbase/venue/footprint from living it. I guess how far gone is college football now that it’s glorified semi pro ball, does the hundred thousand plus passionate fans packed in a historic venue matter like it once did.
I assumed he was going to Florida before we fired Kelly. I think he’s always wanted to be at LSU. But I don’t think he’d leave OM now, knowing similar decisions and backlashes he’s faced in life, to come to LSU this cycle.
I heard today something to the tune of 5 yr at $15m per with incentives up to $30m as the coach of a Super Bowl winning New York giants. They have a franchise qb, skattebaw in backfield and star WR all on rookie deals. If that QB wants him and he wants a change, he’s goin to the NFL. Otherwise I think he’s staying in Oxford making $13m/yr and with a $30m nil war chest.

Anyone that is saying money doesn't matter is lying.

Link to Ole Miss committing to a $30mm yearly war chest?

Will you people quit posting everything you think Lane Kiffin thinks and cares about?! None of you know anything going on in his head.

I'm so sick of reading think pieces. Let us know when he signs

When he says earlier in the post it’s 21 million? Lot of incorrect and contradicting info in one post.

True but Lanes contract is not the biggest factor. Staff budgets, and most importantly NIL guarantees. $30m/year to start with automatic annaual escalators
Doesn't hurt he will be reuniting with Austin Thomas. Thay is a major factor at play

Agreed and nfl money >
Another reason I said to offer him 20M. Then every other college football coach wants it and it's no longer crazy. Just always reset the market.

Forgot about other option like NFL. That’s the easy decision. Make the playoff run this year, hop to NFL.

That $21m is from rev sharing I believe idk I questioned it

I feel like I’ve seen this post 10 times today

He also wants increase in NIL yearly. The money people say that is fine but if you win you get increase. If you do not win. No more money till you win. I'm guessing playoffs is considered winning.

I haven’t seen anyone point out that if he’s leaving ole miss it’s to go coach in the nfl and he there’s an unreal opportunity for an offensive minded coach in New York City, specifically Lane because the dart franchise qb connection

Malik will be fine, but I bet Skattebo never finishes a season. He runs too violent. I bet he is out of the league in a year or two.

I have specifically seen people speculate that he could also leave for the NFL. Someone even commented on a post suggesting going to the NYG
Posted on 11/19/25 at 5:51 pm to Geaux_Fight_Win_20s
How do you know if he even wants to go back to the NFL? Maybe he wants nothing to do with it.
