Why did Deshawn Foster fail at UCLA?

I never followed that closely but curious if there is a lesson there. Maybe it is UCLA is hard to win at

UCLA is hard to win at, but going by his first press conference it’s not really surprising that he failed.

Look at the last several coaches at UCLA.... they have all failed. No football support. No one wants to move to that cess pool.

Means nothing...
We just had a coach who could probably talk for hours at a press conference and couldn't field a competent football team at all 3 phases. Coach Orgeron often sounded like he was reading from note cards and fielded the greatest team ever.
Foster was unprepared and was dealt a bad hand because of the timing of Chip Kelly's unexpected departure.

That guy looked like they asked him to speak 5 seconds before they pushed him out on the stage.
