Fastest Track to a NC Title

Lane wants a National Championship.
Which university gets him there fastest? UF or LSU or OM?
Think about staffing, recruiting, NIL, facilities, etc.

This year, the answer is obviously Ole Miss.
For sustainability it's either LSU or Florida, unless Kiffin feels like Ole Miss will be able to sustain what he's built long term.

He can win multiple titles at LSU or Florida. At Ole Miss, doesn’t get past the “elite 8”

There is an obvious choice for the probability of winning one the fastest

I’ll admit I haven’t watched much BYU football, but I watch Ole Miss and that defense is not great. Which is why I don’t believe they’ll last long in the play-offs.

I know the current rankings don't hold, but its what we have right now so let's take a look. Ole Miss would play Miami in Oxford. I don't think its far fetched that they win that at all. Next they would play aTm. Its not out of the realm of possibility they win that game either.
Saying they will be out in the first round is wishful thinking.

You can kiss 'since 2000' out the window one the 4 team playoff started and buried 'since 2000' once the 12 team playoff started.
By your logic you think Auburn is a better job than Ole Miss since Auburn has won a natty more recently.

Maybe I'm wrong, but Florida is trending more and more towards an elite basketball school with mediocre football. That is what I see.

The reason I went back to 2000 is because it's a nice cutoff point, but regardless of NIL, when Florida and LSU operate under the same rules, Florida has a track record of very short leashes on coaches (whether bad hires or unexpected reasons). I also didn't feel it was a fair comparison to Florida to cut it off before I got Spurrier in there, so even with Florida's most famous coach, they still don't match up well historically with LSU.
That said, I added the records since 2020 which does include mostly NIL, so that comparison also favors LSU.

Marginally.
The same schools that were winning championships still have big advantages and very good NIL revenue to spend.
Those schools have much deeper rosters with much better overall talent.
Because of the format, some smaller programs will get in the playoff and one has to wonder if those teams really should be there based on who they are playing during the year.
In the end, the teams playing and winning the national championship will almost always be teams with Top 10 Roster talent. Not a team like Kiffin had last year that had 8 or so great players but then a wider spread in talent on the rest of the team, that was ranked as 20th in Roster talent by 247.

Right now Lane is 10-1 and only Miss. St. stands between he and hosting a playoff game. Their only loss was by 8 at Georgia.
Ole Miss is the only answer since he has a very real shot to win it this season.

12 team playoff. You can't compare it.
Why stop at 2000? 2020?....hell go back all time.....Minnesota should be an elite job since its the last college to win 3 national titles in a row.
Saying that 'team X' can't win a title in this current landscape is stupid.
Let's just have the last 12 national champions play for the title every year. Rank them 1-12 and all other teams just close up shop.
