Republican leadership wanted to save Congressman Cory Mills tonight, so they blocked Stacey Plaskett from being removed from the House Intelligence Committee.
If Plaskett was removed, Dems were expected to immediately bring a retaliatory resolution to censure Mills.
One Congressional member telling me, “republican leadership sent three republicans on a kamakazee mission to save Cory mills.”
Dems were going to target Mills because of the restraining order that was granted by a judge last month for one of his ex-girlfriends.

This kind of shite is just a reminder that the core base of the Republican Party is still absolutely fricking retarded.
Do you think the Dems wouldn’t pull out the censure knife and cut you with it in the blink of an eye? So wait, they did this to “save” Mills from retaliatory censure? Taking this idiot off the intelligence committee is a big deal. A censure is not, especially since the Democrats don't have the votes to pass it. Dumb move by the Republicans
