Just wait until Dec 2 and like I said, if it’s a 4 year deal that’s fine. He’s getting 3 years no matter what. Just don’t give him a 3 year extension after year 1 if he wins 9 games to where you’re on the hook for $50 million after year 4.

I feel like the only guy on this board that thinks Drink would be great at LSU. I think he is a good enough coach to have a lot of success here. Hell nobody thought much of Miles when he arrived. I don’t think Drinkwitz is a bad coach. He’s a decent football coach, but money does factor in. I’m sure our donors won’t be too excited if in 3-4 years we have to pay another 50 million or so. If he becomes our coach I think it’s a big mistake, but I’ll support him of course. I just don’t think he is anywhere near a top 5 coach and that’s what he will want.
