Dems and Republicans both keep trying to convince us that there is no possible way to simply redact the identifying information of victims while leaving everything else wide open for public scrutiny.
Nobody is better than the U.S. government at document redaction, so Higgins repeating that mantra doesn't instill confidence in me.

I believe the issue here is that the bill as written does not provide for the redaction of their information from the files prior to release. Which I would think would in turn make the law unconstitutional and would only get tied up in courts for many more years to come.
