JUST IN: Speaker Johnson announces the Epstein legislation will be AMENDED in the U.S. Senate because of errors in the original bill that the sponsors refuse to change. x.com/i/status/19908…
"The Senate can correct it."
So it will have to pass the Senate, then go back to the House.
Several of the concerns are regarding national security and safeguards for victims.

Speaker Mike Johnson claims the Epstein files can’t be released unredacted because they contain intelligence-agency material that falls under national security.
He says it’s dangerous to force the DOJ to declassify documents they didn’t create, especially when they involve other agencies like the CIA or NSA.
Johnson warns that releasing the Epstein files unredacted would put national security at risk.

Why do the Epstein files contain intelligence agency material in the first place...
This government wants to classify everything it possibly can, which was not the intention of the classification system...

National Security did you say?
Another conspiracy win... All a Conspiracy Theory really is, is tomorrow's news, today.

Isn't this the same reasoning they use to not release info on Thomas Crooks?

This arguably could decide if the released files are something or a nothing burger
It’ll effect their impact

Thune stated they aren’t amending anything

Interesting. Kinda hope you’re right. Even though I can see the need for an amendment. Have a link?

Meanwhile, government wants to know everything about you and I. We allow it for some odd reason.

My hunch for the last few years: Epstein was an asset for various global intelligence agencies. His whole sex trafficking in particularly disgusting ways was about getting leverage on political and business leaders.

A simpler and more likely scenario is he was not an asset for intelligence agencies and the folks in our government want the information classified because of who the information can hurt...
Not saying he wasn't an asset but if you look at the congressional slush fund for paying off sexual harassment claims, it is classified and should be made public annually... They protect the information that protects them...

He absolutely was. He had been working for MOSSAD for a long time. He referred to himself as a political bounty hunter.
There are legitimate reasons why the government would be worried for national security reasons in all of this. I mean, I don't give a shite and I doubt anyone here does either really, but the dude didn't just get leverage on American Presidents. He got foreign presidents and monarchs as well.
I say frick the bastards no matter what country they're from. Let it all come out.

As this goes on it seems to be more than Epstein was kind of given a long leash with the sex stuff because he was an asset on financing and arms deals, more than it was an actual honey pot operation targeting pols. The only real person outside of JE that we have any evidence of participating in the underage sex stuff is Prince Andrew, who has no value in a leverage scenario.

They want to hide and limit any more Clinton and Prince Andrew exposure.
