Mississippi State was absolutely TERRIBLE and he has them competitive. I have State alumni in the family who are upset with him but the general pulse is that he has them trending the right direction and if he can not be a bonehead next year his seat will be very secure

They’ve had some tough losses this year, but state fans need to have their expectations checked a bit seeing the situation he had to rebuild.

He had basically a mid tier MAC team last year, and this year they’ve played well outside of Shapen melting in the 4th quarter a few times now. Give him another year, they look a LOT better

Competitive? He has 1 sec win in two years.

He makes some really odd coaching moves.

The drive against Mizzou that ended up with a botched fg was an absolute clown show.

Can’t fire him this year though.

It’s the worst job in the conference and it doesn’t help that Ole Miss has been ascending for 5 years

He took Tennessee and Texas to OT. Look at the team he inherited that accomplished that.

They haven't won but State shouldn't pick up the rep of firing the coach every two years.

They would be fools to not give him 3 years at least. They were absolutely awful when he took over.

Ice cold. As bad as they are, State has come a long way this year. Program was a mess when he got there.

I miss the Pirate so much… gone way too soon. MSU will always have a spot in my heart.

very. it doesn't take 3 or 4 years to build a team anymore, with the portal (if you're any good at utilizing it and analyzing talent that you want to poach, throughout the year). hell, Ole Miss had 5 returning players from their 2-deep roster at the end of last year and they're in the CFP. Lebby is probably toast on Nov 29th, and good fricking riddance. he's an average to above average OC, and that's it. pitiful decision making, and pitiful clock management. he's just not very smart

Anyone talking negatively about Lebby doesn’t get it.

Zack Arnett, the previous coach, had literally destroyed MSU football and in 2 years Lebby at least has State competitive in games. MSU has lost a lot of close games in the 4th quarter because they don't have depth at key positions. Give Lebby a chance and State could be special...........

Not hot at all. Last year he had nothing to work with. This year we’ve been competitive in all but two games this year. He needs to get to six wins next year though.
