What if Shough turns out to be the real deal

Well, he’s 75 years old so he’s already washed. Window has passed us by.



In all honesty though, if Shough becomes a top end QB, you probably have a 2 year rebuild with the current cap situation. Next year to draft some impact players and have Shough and the team improve and then sign a big time FA or two the year after once the salary cap is better. After that, you might have a 4 to five window depending on how well you draft (rookie contracts to offset QB contract).

I said I wasn’t drafting a qb that old that high in the 2nd round. And I still stand by that. Hope I’m wrong, it’s not very often. He did make some NFL throws last week so it’s encouraging.

Imagine rooting against Shough so your “draft board” can be right

Probably 2027 season once we’ve had a few drafts and the new skilled position weapons have some time under their belt.
