Mo Claiborne, Tre White, Greedy Williams, Derrick Stingley. I’m not sure about all that…

But he is a beast, and will be Top 20 maybe even top 10 for sure. Another First Round pick from DBU.

Definitely better than the first 3, and I say that as the worlds biggest Claiborne fan

Stingley is close. He got targeted a ton in 2019. He made a bunch of plays because he had top of the food chain ball skills, but he got beat too.

Delane doesn’t get challenged

Stingley basically was guarding nothing but first round pick receivers that year

Do you forget some of the guys he was challenged with covering?

Possibly. But you could make the argument that he hasn’t had to go up against the level of wide receivers that some of those other guys did.

Derrick Stingley

2019 Stingley may be the best CB year in LSU history, which is saying something

He is considered one of the best in college and probably a top 10-15 pick. He was a definite hit on the transfer market

No. But he also had Fulton on the other side, a 2nd round pick still playing in the league. Plus Cordale Flott, NFL starter.

He's 4th behind (in no order) Sting, Claiborne, and Tre White.

He's slightly better than Greedy and Fulton.

Regardless, he's absolutely elite. It just feels different because most elite LSU CB are bigger. He's about 5'11 190 and locks down his side of the field.

I think the "more athletic" part means more.

Of course, but 2 of our last 3 DB coaches (Raymond, Cooper) loved the big CB. So it's just what we're used to.
