Haven’t seen a thread on it yet. What are yalls thoughts on Mathews latest release?

LINK

Looks like they are offering it in 30” and 34” ATA.

Looks like the same bow as last year to me.

I think it’s hard to move the needle these days. Not a huge upgrade from last year.

How much more advanced or “better” are these new bows vs my dxt? At the risk of sounding like a pawpaw, I’ve been so happy with my dxt and like the way it shoots that I’ve not considered buying a new bow.

I’m not a Mathews loyalist at all, but a Lift or ARC is dramatically better than the DXT. They won’t kill deer any better, but they shoot better and the draw cycle is unreal in comparison.

Seems the biggest change is the limb curvature. It’s less than the Lifts. Slightly smoother draw cycle. Not that big of a difference.

Prime made the biggest leap last year. Their new bow looks just the same.

The PSE Sicario is an interesting bow. Looks like the Mach. Thing is legit shooting 325-335 FPS.

I still shoot a z7 but have shot a lift and whatever was the flagship two years ago. The newer bows are usually hair slower than the old solocams but are noticeably smoother drawing, quieter, hold more steady, and have less vibration. All of it is comfort for the shooter as opposed to specs, effectiveness, etc. This year’s model basically just added a little more DIY tuning ability and machined out more metal than they ever have from the riser to make it light as hell. Starting two years or so ago they made it so you could work on the bow without a press, etc. It’s up to you if any of that is worth it.
