sorry for my ignorance but i did a search to see if i could find answer in a previous post but nothing came up so at least i tried to find answer before bothering the crew.
my question is how to reply to a post that is inside a topic.
ex:
the dog shite question someone mentioned about their dog getting into candy and i wanted to reply to that and didnt know how.
thanks for your help.
i dont post very often but this is where i get all my news and info from. this board has helped me many times by giving me a place to vent or grieve. great to know others have been through same thing and made it out.
Geaux Tigers!!!

You hit the reply button. Lol. It actually goes off of where you hit reply. If you want to make it more obvious after you hit reply, scroll down to see the post you are replying to, highlight it, and hit quote. It will look like this but if you do it first it will be above your post.

You don’t know how to reply but you know how to create a thread?

My thing is posting images from my phone and websites. I need to work on that one and figure it out.

Sounds like he knows how to reply, but doesn’t understand how to quote.
He also thinks he has to include the quote to reply to the specific poster, which he does not.

"my question is how to reply to a post that is inside a topic".
Open topic and find post you want to respond to, it should show the following, choose "Jump To Post", then reply.

That's about 20 posts per year for 15 years. May want to slow down a bit and pace yourself before your posting gets out of hand.

You could also use a tutorial on punctuation and capitalization.

I like to include the quote or part of the quote I'm replying to so others don't have to go back up and figure out what I'm replying to.

i reply to the post i can relate to or give some kind of advice is about it.
the ones about losing love ones (or pets) always hit home since i lost my youngest brother to a car accident when he was 19 so i can relate to anyone who loses a sibling.

You should also learn how to use the quote function.

Welp, now it's a lot less fun making fun of you.
