He should be embarrassed trying to sell us on bailing out a foreign country being good for America.

I’m sure that America couldn’t have used that money, sure.

The list of shite going on that I didn't vote for is starting to creep up on the list of shite going on that I did vote for.

And only about 2b has been swapped. The peso is now stronger than when the swap happened, so "we" are UP in the deal.

Libs are just headline readers. They have absolutely zero interest in digging into subjects to be informed as possible. They just read a headline and think to themselves "yep, that's it. I know everything about this subject now."

Dumbest people on the planet.

So unlike the MSNBC dude, you really don't know what a Fed swap line is. Perhaps you should have asked, before posting as you did.

Yeah I did. He acted like an a-hole to an honest question.

Okay we’ll make money off of it. Great.

I’d rather have that money being put to use in America.

Make the argument against that

MSNBC: How does a $20 billion bailout of Argentina help Americans?!

BESSENT: Do you know what a swap line is?

MSNBC: A currency swap, yes.

Yeah, right Scott. A simple "currency swap". These people really do take us for dolts (and they're right) smh

Milei's policies will eventually lead to a lot more trade w/ America. They are finalizing a trade deal as we speak. This will benefit Americans far more than the "20 billion" you're worried about right now.

Had Argentina's peso continue to implode (and it imploded because Peronists won the sept election in Buenos Aires, freaking the frick out of investors), I don't think Milei's party would have done nearly as well in the Oct 26th elections.

Now that his party won so many seats, 1)any vetoes of his will not be overridden, 2) many more free market reforms are about to get passed, so 3) their economy is about to pick up a lot more.

They are a very resource rich country, and being trading partners w/ them will help Americans out w/o question.

It's already started. Has been since Milei got in office. I'm just saying that it's going to get much, much better.

You should be as embarrassed as that MSNBC guy, if not more so. Both of you do not understand what a swap line is.

The MSNBC moron realized the same thing when Bessent patiently dissembled him.
