Could the cause for firing be BK and Trace Armstrong discussing Nussmeier?

No

Playing golf every 3 days year round is grounds for firing

Drinking on the job- grounds for firing

Avoiding recruiting is grounds for firing

And the affair stuff- thats between he and his wife....

But it's another sinful behavior that impact his ability to lead the football program

Morality clause. That one may be hard to actually get him on though unless he was banging her in the athletic offices/buildings.

You keep posting this in every thread but you just look dumb. None of that would be considered to fire Kelly for cause based on his contract.

Drinking on the job.......it used to be a requirement

Avoiding recruiting......so that's why Arnsparger left, because he truly hated it

Are these facts supported by solid evidence? Who reported this?

Not drinking on the job if it happened? When were the rounds of golf happening, during working hours?

They already terminated him for non-performance. It is an idiotic look to now claim he hasn’t been formally terminated but we are terminating him for cause. It signals to the coaching community that LSU is broke and is out of money to fire him pay off the last three coaches and hire a new one. This also is a nail in the coffin of getting any coach with a reputation from jumping to LSU

Yeah I agree. I understand using different tactics in negotiations of the buyout, but this argument is completely idiotic.

The cause for firing is only possibly happening because LSU thought they could negotiate down the number and Kelly's attorneys are smart enough to just follow the contract and ask for the agreed upon sum.

Now, LSU has painted itself into a corner because it did not follow the contract it wrote.

Trying to backtrack and make this a firing for cause is amateur hour.
