Why not?

He would go for a performance based contract. Probably would be best for him? He’d work harder!

It would get us through this court battle with the carpetbagger.

A lot of the staff is his former staff already. Keeping the defense staff and upgrading the offensive staff would make for a solid group.

Throw the extra money into the NIl pool!

Given the current situation and circumstances this may be the best path!

Y’all gotta at least admit, LSU football would be fun again!

Go away JESUS where do you guys where do you come from? Do you even follow LSU football? If you did, you would know Ed Orgeron had two years that were complete dog shite and started LSU on this downhill slide.

I FOLLOW LSU football man.

Ed gave us a national championship when he was on a performance based contract.

He lost the locker room over that BLM/Ryan Clark incident and never recovered from it and Woody forced Bo Pelini on him.

Yes he did give up some at the end, but he did coach the damn team to the last regular season game and won.

You guys are dreaming, if you think after what has happened the last three weeks we are getting a Kiffin or another like coach.

Ed could be a viable option, when better are not available. That’s the damn truth! You may not like it, but it is.

I know. I didn’t expect this to be a popular OP, but it’s true and viable.

Would I like someone better, hell yeah. I hope it happens. Bring on Lane! I’d love to see it!

Just being a realist, given what’s happening.

Where has Ed coached the last several years? Why do you think that is?

Ed's last year was not fun at all, it was miserable.

There won't be a court battle. His contract specifies what he is owed and entitled to.

Brining back Ed isn’t being realistic.

Half the people on this board could have coached that team to a national championship

If Ed was so great and motovated, why hasnt another program offered him? even as a assistant.

Hes been busy shirtless running in Southbeach. Ed is over the hill and way past his prime, let him go tear his shirt off in another lockerroom
