I want to keep him no matter who the head coach is. I think hes a great defensive coordinator. LSU defense is top 25 this year and has improved every year hes been here.

Fyi, we are tied for 40th in yards per play given up, with a ton of money invested in defense
We are like 8th in the sec, so middle of the pack defensively

Id rather have him next year than not but honestly am underwhelmed. We have two players 13 and 4 who are the best in the country at their position, best DL play in Kelly era, etc No way should A&M and Vandy have pulled away like they did.

LSU is top 25 in points per game the most important stat for defense.

They have gutted most everyone this year. Both top 12 in offense. Throw in Whit Weeks as your most important player on defense injured. Yeah im not going to be that upset about it.

The defense has been good enough to win if the offense would show any signs of life. Aggie game got away but for the most part the offense has kept the defense on the field too much.

Blake is a must keep. He will be elite one day if not near there. Also the players love him.

Pass on Blake Baker coming back. He has NOT proven he can handle a dual threat QB which is the trend for starting QBs. This guy is the highest paid DC in college football and in years hasn't figured out how to defend a running QB.

We have been so lopsided in TOP that the defense has been set up to fail. I think we finally won the TOP against Bama and what do you know the defense was effective when offense wasn’t 3 and out on every possession.

My God. It’s wild to me how people can just write off the fact that we have been missing Whit Weeks and expect to not miss a beat. Dude is the Captain of the team and leader of the defense. They feed off his energy. He’s an all American talent. The ripple effect too, I.e. Perkins when Whit is on the field is a whole different player than Perkins when Whit is off the field.

Its been a dysfunctional year, obviously. I would like to see how his defense finishes out the season before judging.
