As I am seeing through social media, tigerdroppings, and being on campus and hearing the thoughts of LSU fans, many are over the "Nuss Bus." I understand that this team has the worst offensive line in LSU history and that he faced injuries/fired coach. That does not excuse the complete lack of pocket awareness and the inability to step up and move in the pocket or the back foot triple coverage prayers. We paid the kid 3 million I do not feel sorry for him or feel like he "gave everything for LSU." I'm not saying this season is on him, but the reason for my post is he is a 5th year senior, and he has been paid plenty of money. Our season is over and there is no upside to starting him. The best way in my opinion to approach the last few games would be to see what MVB has and essentially give him a chance to prove himself with 3 starts under his belt. Simply put in my opinion you gain nothing starting Nuss the rest of the season.

I believe most, if not all, agree that it's time to move on from Nuss. Should have happened sooner.

There's nothing to suggest his play will improve in the last three games, in fact, there's a lot to suggest he's incrementally regressing with each game.

100% I think we will be aggressive in the portal and with the struggles on the O-Line we will need a quarterback with some serious running ability/improv skills.

Yep - he knows noting will improve his status for the next step in his career

He should take courses in finance on how to leverage his NIL money - he may have to actually work for the next paycheck.

I shite you not...

If I knew for certain MVB was starting the rest of the season, I would attend the last two home games.

If Nuss is playing, I am not going to even tune in. Done.

LSU? Not much.

But the decision may not be LSU's to necessarily make.

MVB has played in 3 games. He can only play in one more and also retain his RS. For a guy like him, having that extra year of CFB could be big. Not for his development per se. But as another year to earn money as a college player. For some guys, their biggest market for playing football is in college, not the NFL. See Deigo Pavia. He's not an NFL QB. But I'm sure Vandy would be willing to pay him 6-7 figures annually as long as he can stay in their program. That's more than he would make as a UDFA.

It could be a situation of MVB deciding he doesn't want to "waste" his final "free" game vs. Arkansas. So maybe Nuss starts the next two and then LSU can decide if they want to play MVB in the finale vs OU

I do see this point I just dont get the point of playing both against Arkansas if that is the case.

There’s nothing to GAIN. But you are sure he can at least take the snap and hand the ball off without screwing that up. Maybe the backups can’t even do the routine stuff right

Only one scenario I can think of where it would not work out. MVB knows it’s possible he won’t be here next year and he decides to redshirt. I don’t think he will pass up a chance to play the last few games

Maybe LSU isn't planning to. They are just putting that out there in an effort to force Arkansas to spend some degree of time game planning for MVB

Fired coach who he ignored every time Kelly got mad at him for stupid bone headed mistakes.

Nuss doesn't like being confronted and doesn’t look anyone in the eye when being corrected, like he doesn't give a shite or he backtalks.

The ability to tell recruits “we’ve got your back”.

As it stands now, you d*mn well know every other school that is trusting against us tells them “look at how LSU won’t stand behind you and will cut you off at the knees first chance they get.”

Not the biggest thing, but not nothing.

I agree but for a different reason. He should sit in regard for his Health. There is no reason to continually send him out behind this OlL, in his condition.
Let the new QB earn his spurs. Hope he has his health insurance up to date. Maybe healthy legs will give us a chance to see what he can do.

MVB might want to play. It really depends on Nuss. Nuss is not right physically. Something is wrong with him and his season is basically over. If he would step back and allow himself to heal I think Van Buren would play in that case. He would be getting every rep in practice and games.

Maybe we can get him a waiver due to the starter having an obvious mental health condition.
