Jimmy Olsen TV Spinoff in the works at DC Studios

Gorilla Grodd would be in the spotlight for the season. Grodd is a super-intelligent evil ape who rules a secret African city named Gorilla City. The character is a key antagonist for the Flash, and first appeared in an issue of the Scarlet Speedster’s comics back in 1959. He was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino.

James Gunn saw how much everyone hated the surplus of shows Marvel put out with fringe characters that felt like they became required watching which ultimately started tanking their box office returns and audience appeal and said yep, we need that over here.

Jimmy Olsen has already been race swapped, so if they don’t go that route again we’ll either get standard white guy Jimmy, but he’ll be led around by girl bosses of color

One of the few things they did right with The Flash on CW was Gorilla Grodd. I was indifferent on this show before. Now I’m looking forward to it.
