We wouldn't have had to suffer this season, or at least Nuss would have fully healed and been able to throw the ball.

Wilson said they wouldn't play Weeks unless he could play 100 percent and could protect himself.

Nuss physically and mentally looks like crap.

This is due to offseason

I am sure the injury holds a decent amount of the blame but the root of the entire issue is how bad the OL has performed. Nuss would still be making bad decisions and missing reads even if he was allowed to heal. Unfortunetately for us and him, Nuss needs good potection to be a good QB. He cannot play the position under duress.

I disagree. I think he looks like a battered woman. Not saying he is soft (he might be) but he has been abused because of his OL and he flinches at every sudden movement.

Watching Nuss in game, he seems to cause more all by himself.

Maybe if he would stop Jumping up and down waving a white towel, it would heal faster. Just a thought. Talking about Weeks here.

Thats the battered woman reactions. Instead of staying calm and moving to space, he panics and bails at the first sign of duress. The sack he took where he blindly spun into the defender is the perfect example. He had room to move up or scramble to his right. He felt pressure and panicked.

This isn't an excuse for Nuss. The QB is supposed to run the show and figure out how to move the ball forward despite inefficiencies in the personell. Burrow certainly would figure it out.

Um, most quarterbacks do, even the all-pros.

I think Nuss just stinks and we were blinded by all the yardage last year.

Wasn't MVB overcoming a broken thumb to start the season? I'm sure Nuss was playing out of necessity to start

These would be expected if he was a true freshman. A 5th year senior should be beyond all this.

A 5th year QB who in this day and age lost the starting battle to a transfer and stayed while on the bench for two seasons. Then came back after a promising Junior season to only struggle and have a terrible offensive structure around him and the vast majority of fans are bashing him. Then you have someone like Blake Ruffino who has been overly critical and nit picking every decision. Why would an LSU player want to come back to LSU for their senior season going forward?

Has Nuss struggled or played poorly? Yes. Has he looked like a shell of himself whether due to injury or not, yes. But the offensive structure and organization as a whole has been so bad which has made him play worse and now he receives the vast majority of the blame.

Nuss wanted to gut it out instead of sit and this has been the result. Disappointing.
