It’s out of control. If nothing else came out of the lockdown it’s the number of people on food assistance. It’s ridiculous and needs to be fixed!

Is there a politician out there to fix this issue? It’s ridiculously out of control. Get a fricking job!

Put a fraud team on it and DOGE the shite out of it.

If states refuse to comply CUT THEM OFF.

Certain individuals know how to beat the system. Never get married, shack up and pump out kids. That way the "single mom" gets all sorts of government handouts.

I know someone who does this. Lives with his unofficial wife. Expecting a 4th. The “wife” makes money under the table selling crafts on marketplace. Such bs. Has WIC, SNAP, Section 8, and free health insurance. The guy uses his relative’s address.

SNAP and other give away programs can’t be fixed at this point, multiple generations have grown to expect it and it’s been too easy to abuse and manipulate. Government programs have become a tool and a weapon and politicians and media will never accept what it would take to correct the system.

First, I think you need a budget, a balanced budget, at least a serious attempt. Next, whatever is allocated to foodstamps has to be divided among those who qualify. If it turns out to be only half or less than what they were getting, then so be it.

Anything fixed with SNAP would be reversed when the Democrats ever come back into power. Then they will double down on it because their base loves it. Just look what the Biden admin did.

They need to remove the recipients ability to purchase what they want. Provide them with the basics and that’s it. No more.

There is little SNAP fraud. Every state has a SNAP fraud unit, they go after it already.

If people made more money then they wouldn't need SNAP.

Raise the minimum wage.

Production and profits are going up, but the money goes to the shareholders and C suite.

Raise the minimum wage.

Massie. But, MAGA has been told to hate his guts, so there's zero chance it happens. Government spending and all the fraud, waste, and sloth that comes with it will continue to go bonkers unabated.

Look up literally any video of any poor area of town of big cities. If they are so poor and can't afford food, how's it possible so many nice cars are in their driveways? How's it possible they are the fattest cohort on the entire planet?

Again.

I see economics isn't your thing, bud. I mean, that's ok, but if you don't have even the most rudimentary understanding of economics, then it's probably wise to not talk about it.

Granted, I don't have a PhD in economics, but still I think that more needs to be done for the middle class and those less fortunate. Billionaires don't need another tax cut.

You don't need a PhD in economics to understand that min wage laws crush the low skilled. You are supporting pricing them out of the market, especially when you consider all the other costs piled onto employers over the years just to have an employee in the first place.

About tax breaks; Why would you want less money in the productive sector of the economy, but instead, want the most wasteful institution on the planet, the US government, to decide where it's "most efficiently allocated"?

Canada doesn't have SNAP or food stamps. They have food banks run by churches.

We should go back to government cheese, rice and beans to assure that the needy and the parasites get only good nutrition.

There’s no fixing theft. Any government system which takes money from one and gives to another is theft and should be abolished. No entitlements, no Medicaid, no Medicare, nothing. If it exists at all it will be abused and we’ll be in the same situation in another 50 years due to incrementalism.

You have to cut the head off the snake and burn it in a barrel.

Anything else is unjust and un-American and should be unconstitutional.

Not what I said.

Somehow pass laws that favor the middle class and those less fortunate. Not the billionaires.
