They are calling the attempted booster landing the second attempt, but they aborted the first one just after liftoff on NG-1.
Excitement guaranteed.

Interesting unless they frick it up Blue Origin is going to put payload around Mars before SpaceX

It's not like there is a big market for putting payloads in Mars orbit. This feat has more to do with payloads than launch providers.

Countdown is counting again. Launch is iffy. Ground support and weather issues. Launch 3:15 PM CST ish.

Not necessarily. The orbit window to Mars doesn't open until next November. This payload is going to be in a "loitering orbit" around Earth for almost 12 months before boosting itself out next November. SpaceX has plenty of time, relatively speaking to join them or even bet them

While not technically in orbit, Europa Clipper (launched on a Falcon Heavy) did a gravity assist around Mars last March, getting within 550 miles of Mars.

Is the video working for anybody else?

The video is working but currently New Glenn isn’t.

I have video on both YouTube and the Blueorigin site, which seems to be about 15 secs behind the YouTube feed. Weird.
They say they’re resetting the launch clock. ?????

Falcon Heavy can already put 17 metric tons into Mars orbit already. New Glenn would do about 7.
SpaceX is playing the long game with Starship. They will be able to put dozens of ships in route to Mars in the time it will take other companies to put one at a time.

I'm more of an Elon guy but it's good to see some competition.
If for anything, if it merely keeps SpaceX hungry and somewhat motivated, it's well worth it.
