Why can't Barion Brown perform as well for LSU as for Kentucky?

Probably has something to do with the fact that we throw the ball downfield maybe 2-3 times per game

Why not at least hit him on a short slant or something where he is at least POINTED downfield?

His stats are pretty comparable this season to his time at UK.

Thanks. Just from the eye test, his speed never seems to be a factor in the way that we use him.

I didn’t watch much of him at UK, but catching and immediately falling to the ground isn’t conducive to YAC.

His biggest skill set is his speed and we don’t have the blocking to develop anything beyond a 10 yard route.

We don't get him the ball in stride. It's either comeback routes or lateral passes behind the line. He's a YAC guy but we don't use him like one
