1. LSU recruits top talent and has signed a Top 10 Recruiting Class for many years now.
2.Any potential coach probably recruited players on LSU's current and future roster.
3. The difference between LSU today and LSU next year will depend on correcting the problems in the Offensive Line. No pass protection limited Nussmeir's ability to throw the ball downfield. He didn't have the time.
4. The playbook was limited due to the poor play of the Offensive Line.
5. A new coach will be successful at LSU IF his coaches properly prepare their players and solve problems due to lack of prepared DEPTH. (ex. Lose a Whit Weeks, his replacement must be prepared to play their best, if not a major talent hole is created at that position)
6.LSU is a premier program and LSU fans want and deserve a premier Head Coach.
7. Kiffin wins through innovative offense and adequate defense. At LSU his offense and say a Blake Baker defense would be a contender for the National Championship. So, fans want a coach who will bring a great Offensive Strategy to Baton Rouge, ( Coach O did this with Brady in 2019 and created arguably the best team EVER in college football history)
8. Don't worry about meddling from the State Capital, it's always been there, this year Jeff Landry simply showed everyone it existed.
9. Trust former play Verge Ausberry to make a good hire. The money is there to hire a coach. The NIL money will be there too.
10. Sit back, enjoy your family, this will work out and LSU fans will be pleased.

The fact that it's always been there is a problem...

Another day another sage of an "expert".

I'll quote Jim Mora the Elder: " You think you know, but you really don't."

I never claimed to be an expert, only a Voice of Reason.

Seems reading comprehension may be a problem for you.

Keep embracing that Jim Mora quote, but internalize it. You'll feel better.

Landry isn't part of the problem. Woodward hiring BK is the whole problem. Landry didn't make the offensive line historically bad.

Correct. Landry should not be part of the potential "solution" either.

IMO, Verge as AD is akin to Frank as HC. The role is too big for them. He was a lazy hire.

My post was in response to the Pollyanna post by the OP. Sure, all of those bullet point things could happen...and they do in the world where a 'magic' step precedes 'profit'.

All of what the OP said could have been said when Kelly was coming in too.

Basically, it was a meaningless AI type of creation. Are we sure that the OP is a real person?

Doubtful. Understandably, you need people to believe all that bullshite but Louisiana is the most corrupt state in the country. We will make this another dumpster fire because we can't do anything else.

Folks need to understand that Landry is a politician and therefore, an opportunist.

He saw the opportunity to take out a former dem fundraiser (and a shitty AD) and took it. LSU athletics will be fine under Verge.

Get us a good HC and land this class. The future is bright
