BK is gone.. apathy hopefully has left the building with him. Woodward is gone.. hopefully the meddling in day to day ops has ended.

There is a good number of very promising young candidates who can bring us back (I.e. Kiffin, Golesh, Key, Dilly, Huepel, Lea etc.)
It’s beginning to feel like any of them will be an immediate upgrade if they just show up and bust arse.

I have a feeling this time next year we will be that surprise team that’s overshot expectations who makes the playoff. And then the rest of the decade is sustained success.

Frank will have the boys playing with pride, and watch out we could catch bama and OU napping on us. Who knows.

I think I would wait to see who the head coach will be, his coordinators and staff before I put on the purple and gold glasses.

This institution is clearly run by low capacity losers. Just the truth

Hopefully find an energetic Coach who is more interested in working 10-12 hours a day than dipping his wick in the female talent pool in and around BR !

Feels like this group is the equivalent of Kelly, Tucker, Reilly, and Napier in 2021

I really hope our AD actually does a thorough search and doesn't just stick with these easy surface names

Imagine if that was a job title at LSU. Director of Female Talent Pool Wick Dipping.

it's not about the number of hours a guy works. If all it took was hours, every coach would work 24/7.

It's about how good of a head coach a guy is - can he identify and hire good coordinators and other staff, can he identify player talent and develop it, can he motivate his players, etc.

The number of hours worked doesn't necessarily correlate to that stuff.

Spurrier was known for not working ridiculous hours at Florida, and he had them in championship form most every year.

And I have a feeling that depending upon who Gov Landry hires, we could have a Golden Age or we go back to Curly Hallman days.

I’m not very optimistic

Coach O proved there is a point of diminishing returns when it comes to lack of work effort !

LSU has had too many "lost" seasons. 1999, 2004, 2016, 2021, and now 2025. Five seasons of the past 26, or around 20%, in which the head coach is either fired mid-season or accepts a new job before the season ends. That is no way to build an elite program. I don't care how many NFL guys you get to cheer for on Sundays.
