Explosion at CF Industries in Yazoo City

Happened about half an hour ago. I was in the truck so i didn’t hear or feel it but saw the smoke immediately. Smoke cloud was massive. There are emergency vehicles constantly going that direction.

I’ve known a couple people who used to work there and they said the place is a death trap and accident waiting to happen

We were told to evacuate but I can’t get out of town. They’ve shut down the hwy and have all traffic diverting down roads 18 wheelers won’t fit down. Never seen this many emergency vehicles in one area at once.

Was driving through there and also seen the huge cloud. Top hall looked orange. Seen shot 30 emergency vehicles heading that way.

If it’s anything like other ms delta operations in any industry, it’s all horribly jerry rigged and out of date and poorly maintained.
It’s like a cultural thing here. Farmers with 10,000 acres and millions in wealth will have the absolute shittiest looking operations and equipment. Combine burns up they’ll leave it in the field and plant around it for 5 years. Shop yard will look like a salvage yard. Go to Nebraska and look at a farm and it’ll be 40 year old equipment in like new condition and the shop will be pristine.
