Unfortunately, there is a calamitous flaw in the US constitution.

There isn't a dead man's switch in the constitution for preserving the constitutional republic against the enemies from within. If the socialists/marxists/communists understand constitutional law and have the resources and lawyers to dismantle the constitution and subsequently morph the US into socialism/marxism/communism there's literally nothing that can stop them.

Don't ask me how the dead man's switch would be legally defined in the constitution to prevent what's happened to the US over the past 75 years, I'm not a constitutional lawyer, however I'm sure there are many conservative minded legal scholars who are capable of defining the legal protection that is required for self preservation of a constitutional republic.

Never forget what John Adams said and essentially warned the citizenry of the US about......

quote:

John Adams issued a prominent warning that the U.S. Constitution was made for a "moral and religious people," meaning its success depended on a virtuous populace. He also warned that "absolute power intoxicates alike despots, monarchs, aristocrats, and democrats" and that the integrity of free, fair, and independent elections is crucial to maintaining liberties, as any party or foreign nation could gain control through corruption.

You do realize the problem with this thinking? Both sides think they are the "good guys" and the other side is the "bad guys" that must be stopped.

Ive been shocked and very disheartened over the past 20 years over how many Americans want to be taken care of by a bloated debt fueled federal government based in socialism that will eventually collapse due to an unproductive citizenry and pure laziness.

I know the people I associate with want to preserve the constitutional republic sans socialism/marxism/communism. Those who are currently filing lawsuits to end Trump's tariffs are not rooted in critical businesses being harmed by tariffs, it's leftist organizations who understand the fundamental transformation of America fails if the US is not part of the NWO.

Constitutional convention.

However, it's not the constitution that's the problem, it's that our government is not following it.

I see what you mean, but only one side wants to preserve the country as founded.

Unfortunately our founding fathers could not have foreseen the existential threat of suicidal white guilt.

"But ... but ... but ... we ARE the Good Guys! The other guys are evil degenerate subhuman scum!"

And never stop to think that using that sort of language to describe our fellow Americans MIGHT just be a good indicator that the speaker is not quite as vituous as he believes himself to be.

If you had your vision of a prosperous and strong USA what ideology should we pursue?

Socialism/Marxism/Communism?

NWO Globalism?

MAGA/America First?

Establishment Republicanism? Like Liz and Dick Chaney. Lindsey Graham, Adam Kinzinger, Nicole Wallace, Joe Scarborough, Mark Levin, the Bushes, John Bolton, James Comery?

If we consider the situation we are currently dealing with there is no argument against the current shite show the US is facing is due to weak arse Chamber of Commerce republicans and DC Uniparty recucklicans.

I think you're right in the extreme but I defer to John Adams...there are very few people in positions of political power who subscribe to a higher authority.

There's ways people can change the Constitution and it's in the Constitution of course. It takes a LOT to change things but there's a damn good reason for it.

The problem with John Adams' admonition, how do you objectively define "moral and religious" ... everyone has their own definition. If fact, there are no 2 Christians (alive or dead) even who believe 100% what the other believes. So that is a hard thing to figure out.

They would have completely laughed off this notion back in the day.
