Yay-HEY! Bilas is bullish on the Fighting McMahons this season, ranking the team in his Top 68 for 2025-26. He seems to be enthusiastic about the team's acquisition of UNLV's Dedan Thomas, Jr., expecting him to contribute significantly.
What say the board? Are this year's Tigers a diamond in the rough?

Thomas is going to be good for us. He was 9:2 A:TO in the exhibition against UCF and looked the part too.

Dedan is absolutely key to the teams success this year, if he got hurt like Reed did last year, it's going to be a very very rough one

Seriously, the top 68? Wow!! So in other words, LSU MIGHT be in a playoff game for the REAL NCAA tourney. McMahon should have been fired after last season. 3 years at LSU...2 losing seasons and 1 winning one by 1 game and that year ousted by N Texas in the first round of the NIT. Just stick a fork in McMahon...he is done! He is in over his head playing in a good conference. He should have stayed at Murray State. LSU will be lucky to get into the NIT.

Sounds great...until you realize that LSU is #68...which is the 15th SEC team on the list...which tracks with where LSU is picked to finish. He's not "bullish" on LSU. He just thinks they are better than 1 bid league teams

No. In other words he's saying LSU is at the back end of 20-25 major conference teams (including Big East) that WON'T make the tournament given only about 35-40 major conf teams make it in a given year.
This actually shows he's NOT bullish on LSU, at all.
But good on the OP to disingenuously spin it quote:
