I know LSU is a big job for a first time HC but it worked out well for Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, and Oklahoma ( Lincoln Riley)
Everywhere he’s been he’s put up numbers. Would be a cheaper hire with huge upside.

If you're gonna go that route, take Sumrall. He already has ties in the boot.

that route meaning a young offensive genius developing qb's.

a co DC ILB background with HC experience.

That's a same route? What are you saying. The routes are completely different.

Young being the common trait. Stein is a great OC imo. You think he's ready for a head coaching job at LSU ?

That’s why I’ve been saying Frank Wilson is a great asset for program for a young guy like that to have a support system. Yes, young guys can win.

If you get a guy like this i'd go get a Sam Pittman or Gus Malzahn to pair with them. Someone who has been an HC at a major university.
Similar to Sean McVay having Wade Phillips when he became the HC for the rams.

After seeing what he has done with Ohio State's defense so far and on Saturday seeing how much the players love him, I think if I were going to go with a coordinator I would give Matt Patricia a call. He has been around some great orgs and is an incredibly smart dude. At least worth an interview.

I would rather go this route as well.
I'd be fine with Will Stein as long as an experienced guy is the DC, like Dave Aranda (who i am assuming will get the axe this offseason). This would be a great scenario if it were to happen.

Or you hire Kelvin Sheppard and go get Chip Kelly to be the OC (and you'd have to pay him a lot to be the OC)

They lose every time they play a top caliber offensive team. They can’t stop them or keep up offensively

Can't get behind him. I think he's an assistant lifer. Nothing wrong with that.
