Does NOLA media put any heat on Gayle at all?

The woman has literally run two franchises straight into the ground.

Lauscha, Loomis, Bensel and Gayle. The fricking Mt. Rushmore of incompetence in pro sports. Add Dumars for a bonus President of shite.

When you have one owner with the worst NFL and NBA team, maybe that's a sign.

Does NOLA media even mention her at all? She's got to start taking some heat for the incoherent way both her franchises operate.

They are literally both working off 15-year-old philosophies.

Like what NFL team other than the Saints would trade for a 28 year old NFL WR who hasn't done much for a 4th when you're terrible?

What NBA team trades the draft capital Dumars did for a non-generational guy like Queen?

It's because they know Gayle doesn't know shite and there's zero accountability.

The arrogance of both franchises is breathtaking.

I really think it's just because they're all old and don't give a frick. The league has passed both front offices by years ago.

Gayle is clueless and puts zero pressure on them.

Nobody cares about the Pelicans in November, media included. The only reason this is getting any attention is because the Saints suck too

The Saints have never been a dumpster fire team under Gayle until the past two seasons. This is a lazy take.

Are you implying those moves would have been fine in 2010?

The bigger issue is those are moves you make when you’re trying to tread water at .500 and not when you’re looking at .250. It’s like they’re barely aware they’re at the bottom

The second Sean Payton walked out that door the Saints became a dumpster fire. To say it's only been two seasons is a crazy take.

We kept it mediocre for a little bit… like “the division is weak, let’s win it and make a run” but we couldn’t even do that

The decision to hire Allen was bad. Doubling and tripling down on him was a fireable offense for Loomis not to mention the terrible drafting and trades.

They are hesitant to say anything negative or they will get frozen out of access to cover the team & won’t get invited to all the good cocktail parties. Welcome to your new media. Buddy D would not like working in 2025.

Shamit talked about this on his podcast yesterday. Local media coverage of the Pels has quietly dried up. ESPN and the Athletic each had Pels beat reporters, but those positions were eliminated and the reported moved to cover other teams. NOLA.com still hasn’t replaced Christian Clark who left nearly a year ago. He mentioned how few media members were at the preseason press conferences.

There aren’t many people left to put heat on her. Those that do put heat on her like Boot Krewe get their media privileges revoked.
