Might anything be gleaned from one's children?

Do children tell us anything about the parents?
Of course, it is the mass murderers that have evoked the most attention where parents are concerned, lately. The parents of trannies, the parents of the Butler, PA shooter. The parents of the HS serial rapist just recently arrested. The parents of the little SNAP/EBT thugs in the grocery stores, et al ...
Full Disclosure, before someone busts my balls:
My oldest (40s) is a high ranking attorney in the California DOJ. She's a flamming liberal. We rarely speak. I blame it on her Mother and that side of my ex-wife's family .... and the fact that I was in the field or overseas during much of her childhood. I provided, but I wasn't there enough to influence.
My second oldest (late 30s) is an accomplished attorney who clerked for a Federal Judge in the 9th Circuit. She's now a partner with a prestigious lawfirm in Portland. She's left wing, not as flamming as her older sister. Same reasoning as above ... I was gone all the time but I had a little more influence in her life.
My youngest daughter (mid 30s) is a Phd in Clinical Psychology. After teaching at a major university for a decade, she started out liberal, she's now a moderate Conservative. Voted for Biden .... then Trump this last election. I was home more for her. She now works for a very large national accounting firm in Charlotte. The real world (outside of gov and academia) changed her perspective on life as much as I.
All three above have children.
My youngest, my Son (late 20s) is very successful, works in the freight business, national acct mgr. Knocking down well above the national average for his age group. He's engaged to a 30 year old nurse .... they're both very conservative, want a big family. She'll be an NP soon. He's a product of my current wife and I. I was here a lot when he was growing up and through his college years.
I believe that Dads being home make a difference. I also believe that Moms have A LOT to do with it.

I believe that the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside.

Baron Trump seems like a well adjusted kid who was raised by a guy who cheated on 2 wives, joked that his private Vietnam was not getting an STD while my dad was fighting in real Vietnam, and joked about Baron’s half sister’s breasts.
So I’d say no here.

It sounds like they’re doing…fine. I hope you’re able to bridge whatever gap exists there.

Scrooster... you've made a good point in contrasting providing and being present. Unfortunately, especially with young families, it is hard for the breadwinner to be both in equal measure.
I've seen you mention your eldest before, I think... I hope that relationship thaws out sooner rather than later- the worst thing about today's polarized political climate is the family strain that comes with "picking sides".
Anywho... I don't really have anything of value to add here, besides well wishes for your relationship with your eldest to heal.

Lawyers have ruined this nation. It’s true. For their own greed and benefit.
It’s a club, and sounds like you and yours are in it.
And I love the law and the Rule of Law.
But it has been ruined … ironically, by lawyers.
Tell me that I’m lying.
PS: what are most politicians, swampers, and other various DC degenerates? I rest my case.

This country was founded by lawyers to be ruled by lawyers

It breaks my heart, but it is what it is. She married an equally woke guy, also an attorney.
She's angry about me always being gone. It was my job. Her mother made her that way. It happens these days. Plus I cut her off financially after law school .... that pissed her off too. UNC Chapel Hill brainwashed her too.
Anyways ..... thank you.
BTW, the serial rapist I mentioned in the OP ....

Does Donald Trump reflect good, Christian family values?

You gleefully worship a philandering blasphemer who has lusted for his own child. You’re not an authority on who is religious.
