What a terrible football season.

Almost $20 million for a roster and we didn’t even sniff the playoffs. Fired our coach midseason. Going to have a losing record in the SEC.
Alabama and A&M look like possibly the best teams in the league. Gross.
The search to replace our coach got off to a rocky start to say the least.
Looking to the NFL for some reprieve… Burrow and Jayden are both hurt, and the Saints are contending to be the worst team.

Basketball will be no better, so enjoy some football while you can. At least there's some room for optimism for the future with football now.

Most on here thought when Saban retired that LSU would be top dog going forward in the SEC.

We aren't likely going to be much better next year either. Yeah, I know you can turn it around more quickly these days with the portal, but we lose a ton this year.

This is probably the worst overall fall sports season I can remember in my lifetime. Just no juice in college or NFL whatsoever other than Diego Pavia.

He deserves a lot of blame, but to me, it was always Scott Woodward who deserved the most blame.
Woodward was only motivated by having a huge splash hire. Stealing Notre Dame’s coach. Getting his ego stroked by getting all the headlines and everyone fawning over the fact that LSU could pull the Notre Dame coach away.
He never took into account that he was hiring a 62 year old coach, entering into his retirement phase and gave him a golden parachute to secure a very wealthy retirement. Woodward never did a deep dive analysis into Kelly’s pompous, detached, egotistical approach to coaching.
I’m the same age as Kelly, I knew from day one that this was going to end in disaster. I knew Kelly would never have the drive, energy, and ambition to create an elite program here. Shame on Woodward thinking he would.
