Yeah. Love how everyone gives Springer and those other cheating bastards a pass. Their 2017 stats should be wiped out

I was cheering my little heart out for Toronto and he was not safe. It was by maybe 3 inches, but he was not.

Should we just average out the road stats and record for 162 games?

Tie to the plate goes to the runner. I agree, he was safe clearly as the video showed. Had the catcher’s foot not come off the plate he was out.

Are you 8? Theres no such thing as tie goes to the runner. Go watch rec ball if you think that way. He was out. Got foot back on in time and video showed

If he had slid head first, game over.

He did the butt slide, and that fraction of a second was the difference.

I’m always so amazed that people can actually see something happen, with video evidence, and then just say, “well that clearly didn’t happen”

I guess that’s what you get from anonymous message board posting

Any claim you have towards this was invalidated when the leak went out that Manfred suppressed the investigation that the Yankees were doing the same thing. But, you know, New York. The entire thing was silly in the first place and reaction to the fact that the Astros didn’t belong and and bunch of butthurt blue blood fans.

Get over yourself. You won a meaningless championship in a Covid season and went out one bought two titles using a bullshite loophole.

Shut up. Stop.

No it doesn’t. The rules state the runner must beat the throw, and by definition a tie does not beat it.

We have Umpires since the 20th Century and now video replay. This isn't Amateur tennis where opponents are your line judge via gentleman's agreement. Its the 21st Century, we don't rely on archaic "unwritten rules" or tradition to decide a World Series.
