Was that Blue Jays loss the most heartbreaking in MLB history?

I think taking extremely long title droughts out of the equation, it was. They were the better team all series long, lost all 3 coin flip games, and everyone outside of Los Angeles was rooting for them.

This series loss was a literal Diabolus ex Machina.

Nah. The Yankees loss to cement the 3-0 comeback from the Sox is the most heartbreaking and embarrassing

Led for majority of game (edit) and managed to lose it by GIDP with a runner on third. Brutal.

Losing last two at home and having a lineup full of dudes absolutely raking, I don't understand how they lost. Gut-wrenching.

Brewers fan here and as much as I hated watching the Brewers get ground into dust, I'd take that seven days a week over what just happened to the Blue Jays.

Toronto went 2-12 with runners in scoring position tonight. They had plenty of opportunities to put this away and they flat out blew it.

Has to be this. Up 5-3 in the 10th. 2 out, no one on. 99% chance to close out the series. Lose 6-5.

I think Buckner was indebted to the mob. It's the only explanation for that play. Just simply no way a major league ever makes such a kindergarten blunder like that.

After Game 1, I was convinced that the Blue Jays were a tad better than the Dodgers. Nothing made me change my mind until tonight. After tonight, I think these two teams are dead even.

If it is anything like the Canucks loss in hockey they are burning stuff and looting right now.

Possibly the most gutting loss.

America was probably 50/50 and Japan was rooting for Dodgers at least as hard as the rest of Canada was rooting for Toronto

No. But it's probably top 5.

Gotta be the Rangers/Cardinals when they were 1 strike away (twice).
