what’s the buyout if he leaves though? just that he signed an extension is meaningless if he can leave at any time for free.

Fans are crazy reactionary to one game.

You’re hiring a CEO of your program.

People that get paid to make these deals are smarter than that.

Doesn't matter. SMU has more money than LSU.

It's the fact he signed the extension. It's a message that he isn't interested. It's pretty common knowledge that once a coach that is on the hot boards signs an extension with the school they are currently at, they are effectively letting everyone know they aren't interested in leaving.

Watches one game and says he’s the best candidate. Wonder if you’d say the same thing if you watched his 3 losses this season. Some of yall are hilarious

This always makes me laugh. SMU plays in a stadium with 30,000 people. Stanford has more money than any other non Ivy League school in the country. Why aren’t they any good on a consistent basis? It comes down to if Lashlee wants to compete at a high level for national championships or if he is satisfied with lesser results and lower expectations.

Stanford doesn't spend on football. Every athlete, regardless of sport, gets a full ride. They have no NIL. That is vs SMU that is all in on football. Plus you can live in Dallas.

The point is SMU doesn’t have the money Stanford does. Stanford is flush with cash. Don’t tell me SMU is all in on football playing in front of 32,000 fans, lol.
