My mama would have a fit if my daddy let us ride one of the temporary carnival rides. When we were little, a kid got killed at a Knights of Columbus fair on a ride.
I read that they were shutting down the fair in False River until the rides are inspected. Maybe inspect before kids are hurt?

I rode most rides when I was a kid. Sketchy looking people working them too. Never saw or heard of anyone getting killed at the time.

Like anything else, at some point something will happen unfortunately. Those rides are put up by a bunch of meth heads who probably have gone a week without sleeping so you never know what will happen, but I am sure they pay a lot in insurance so there is someone there making sure there are no obvious problems.
