Say you're driving down the interstate and you look at a tractor trailer in other lane

that you're about to pass and you think "what if that tire blows"? Then 10 seconds later, and just prior to passing it, a tire on the tractor trailer blows.

What is that?

There was no indication anything was wrong with the tractor trailer or any tire prior to it blowing.

Those trucks blow tires all the time. What you witnessed was a coincidence.

Something similar happened to me. Driving from Dallas to Houston in the rain. I am behind a white corvette and I suddenly imagine it spinning out right in front of me. It felt real enough that I slowed down to put some space between us. Almost as soon as I get about 7 car lengths behind, the car hits a puddle, spins out and smashes into the guradrail. I had just enough space to avoid smashing into it.

Lady was fine, both of us were likely shook the rest of the day for different reasons.

I wish I could control it. I like to think it's my momma showing up in my brain when it's important, but who knows.

Every day occurrences.

That happened to my wife and kid and scared the crap out of them. Other than the scare, nothing else happened.

It happened to me while I was on a motorcycle and was peppered with little rubber or plastic BBs. I dodged a couple tire gators but was OK.

We all think about our experiences when we're traveling next to the big rigs.

There's tons (literally) of evidence all along the interstate that it happens regularly.

A premonition

By definition, premonition is the thought something is about to happen, but not it actually occuring.

What is it called when the event happens after a premonition? Surely not just a coincidence.

When I see the grass cutters along the Hwy I’m a little more cautious now due to one of them slinging a tire at my truck doing 75 on I55 in Hammond once. Hit my drivers side front door and smashed it.

Preminition.

I will change lanes if I'm behind someone and their load looks suspect.
Running over a ladder at 70 mph jaded me.
