That you would be fine with?

Obviously Lanning is top of that list.

I keep seeing Schumann’s name thrown around but from my understanding, UGA fans aren’t thrilled with him and their defense is nowhere near what it once was. I’m not really sure we want him.

Obviously Blake Baker would get consideration in this scenario. As would Kelvin Sheppard (for what reason, I have no clue)

Would Jim Leonhard get consideration? Doubt he wants to leave the NFL now that he’s in a stable situation there. Will probably get a HC gig before too long there.

Anyone else on that side of the ball that could be a legit candidate?

NGL, If we brought back Boom and hired Kade Bell as OC id be totally fine with it.

We had a helluva defense while he was here, he just couldnt get the Offense going

I say that as a last resort, i dont see a DC id want as a HC

There are plenty of examples of coordinators making the transition to HC and having success. He did enough to earn the DC position under Dan Campbell and is doing a great job. By all accounts loves ball.

Would be a hit with recruits. Pretty much the polar opposite of Kelly in that regard. A leader of men who has been there, done that.

Kelvin Sheppard would shore up the defense and would smash in recruiting I think.

He’s been a coordinator for about 10 minutes.

I mean, whether you agree with it or not, he would get consideration and will end up with an HC gig in the very near future if he wants one.

I don’t want Shepard as HC, but if he is willing to be the DC I’d be open to that. I think a younger defensive mind is needed now with the dramatic change in quarterback play.
